1999-2016 Ford Super Duty Extended Cab Sub Box Sealed

This is a Ford Super Duty Extended Cab Sub Box for the 99-2016 F250 and F350 trucks. Ford Super Duty Extended Cab F-250 and 350 trucks don’t have a lot of options. Under the rear seat space is at a premium and behind the seat is not an option as the seat back is attached directly to the back wall. For 1999-2016, since space is to tight, in order to get any sort of real, usable space, we made the enclosure out of 1/2″ cabinet grade birch plywood. This gives us more than enough strength and gives us a bit more airspace by using a thinner material. It is 1.54cuft total airspace and will work for some 8″ or 10″ subs. Also to get more airspace, the enclosure is from the very seat bottom to the floor. So the subwoofers get recessed down into the enclosure to give them room to move. But, since that space is tight, we would still recommend grills to add a little more protection from the seat bottom. Because of that, the mounting depth is only 5 1/2″. Our metal bumps will add an extra 1/2″ mounting depth if you need the depth. If you have any special requests on the box feel free to ask and we can get it taken care of.

This is a sealed subwoofer enclosure. Sealed subwoofer enclosures have a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported enclosure is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is typically double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs and power. If big bass is what you want, then our ported designs will be what you want.

This box is made out of 1/2″ cabinet grade birch plywood and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminal is mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
