2007-2013 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Sub Box Double Up Fire Sealed
The 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab brought a new design to the table with an open space under the rear seats compared to the previous body style crew cabs that are a jungle gym of bars and brackets. This box design offers a clean and simple look that has 1.6cuft with around 5” of mounting depth in an up fire design. With an up fire box you don’t get the same acoustic loading that you do from a down fire, but you do get a more precise reproduction of the music. Meaning you get less coloration from the vehicles design, if you’re more of a music purist then you’ll prefer the up fire design.
This is a sealed subwoofer box. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported box is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. If big bass is what you want then our ported box will be what you want.
This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
