2008-2013 Dodge Challenger Sub Box Big Ported

The 2008-up Dodge Challenger is an awesome looking car and needs an equally awesome stereo. The trunk on this car is surprisingly nto as limiting as you would think it would be since other sports coupes are very trunk limited. This box is the deeper of the two boxes that I offer for this car at 16″ deep. This depth still allows you to gain access to the spare tire and battery in the floor of the trunk, so there is no compromise in functionality because of a stereo. Because of the humps coming into the floor near the back of the trunk, it makes it awkward for a traditionally sized box to fit in this car. This design of mine is as tall and wide as it can be to make the depth as small as possible, allowing me to keep the subs flat on the floor and as far back against the seat as possible.

This box is big enough for two 10s, 12s or even 15s sealed. It is big enough that a couple of 10s or 12s could be ported also. It is 2.9cuft with 10” of mounting depth so pretty much anything will fit in here. This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want.

This is our ported design. This design is for maximum airspace and the airspace of the box can be reduced if desired. Our ported boxes are designed according to your subwoofers specifications. No two boxes will really be alike. At checkout, there is a Comment box, please give us the model number of your subs and we will build the box as needed. This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
