2015-20 Chevy Tahoe Sub Box Downfire Ported Large Third Row

­The 2015-20 Chevy Tahoe, with its third row seat, has a lot more room for subs than the previous model SUV and this box is made to take up as much of that space as possible. This Chevy Tahoe Downfire Sub Box Third Row Seat design is for those who want the bass while keeping the third row seating. It has a maximum airspace of 5.02cuft with nearly 12” of mounting depth, based on a 7″ diameter magnet. Any number of subwoofer combinations can be made to fit what you want in the back of this SUV. There can be two or three 10s or 12s in this downfire box to maximize the output while limiting lift gate rattle. Even 13.5s will fit with ease. Lots of space for some big output.

This box is designed to take up the most space for people who want big bass, so the cargo bin needs to be removed for the box to fit correctly. If your truck has the power folding rear seats, there is a control module under that bin that will need to be relocated. If you don’t want to relocate that module, then look at our boxes that fit on top of the cargo bin.

If you want to keep some sort of storage then the best compromise is to keep it tall and narrow, so feel free to contact us with special requests. We also offer this box in a ported design. Let me know what you want to do and what subs you have and I will see what I can do for you.

This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want.

This is our ported design. This design is for maximum airspace and the airspace of the box can be reduced if desired. Our ported boxes are designed according to your subwoofers specifications. No two boxes will really be alike. At checkout, there is a Comment box, please give us the model number of your subs and we will build the box as needed. We tend to tune our boxes deep, around 34-37hz. If you have any specific requests please feel free to let us know.

This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
