2016-2020 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Sub Box Sealed 3rd Gen

­The Toyota line of pickups are always very limiting for doing subwoofers because they just don’t leave a whole lot of room, and the 2016-20 Toyota Tacoma Double cab is not any different, if not tighter. Under the rear seats is floor and behind the seats is a molded in storage bin. Some people make enclosures that go into a modified storage bin but that requires permanently modifying your truck in order to put a stereo system in, plus it really limits you on what can be installed. This box design I have replaces the whole storage area behind the seats. The bins have a few bolts and then just unclip and my box just drops right in. This means that if you sell your truck, you can pull the box and put your truck back to stock. The box is 1.46cuft of airspace with a mounting depth of 5″ for 10s. It is great for a single of 10″ sub or you could easily put two 8s in if you wanted to. Let me know if there is anything special you would like and I will make it for you.

If your truck has the factory subwoofer and amplifier behind the back seat, it will need to be removed and relocated. The stock amplifier can be retained in the Passenger Side C-pillar with a little creative work.

This is a sealed subwoofer box. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. If big bass is what you want then our ported box will be what you want.

This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
