2019-up Dodge Ram ANC Subwoofer Integration Harness

I have been selling and installing audio equipment for over 15 years and one of my rules for installing is to do as much of the prep outside of the vehicle. The less time in the vehicle, the less of a risk you have of damaging something and it generally makes it faster since working at a bench is better than an awkward position in the vehicle. This is one of the main reasons we like our T-harnesses for our Dodge Ram customers.

This harness fits 2019-up 5th Gen Rams, 1500, 2500 or 3500 with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), BUT NOT Alpine or Harman Kardon. On 5th Gen Rams, this harness will only work if you have 6 microphones in the headliner, and not just 2 above the front seats. You do not have ANC if you only have the 2 microphones.

It is a plug-n-play harness that plugs in at the ANC module under the Driver seat on the 1500 and under the driver side dash if you have a 2500-3500. It is a plug-n-play harness that plugs in at the ANC module under the Driver seat and has your Line Out Converter installed already. Other than installation simplicity, it also keeps you from cutting up the wiring in your brand new truck.

The 5th Gen Ram has some new twists. Ram couldn’t leave it alone, but this is actually for the better. On the 13-19 Rams, load resistors were the complication. But not this time. now it is ANC, or Active Noise Cancellation. What this system does is the audio signal from the radio goes to the module below the seat. Then 4 microphones in the truck pic up road noise in the cabin and feed it back through to the speakers to null out what noise it sees. The complication with is that when you add in new audio equipment, it “sees” more “noise” and tries to cancel it. The short answer is that if you want to upgrade anything, amps and subs, you will need to get around this system to get the results that you expect.

Now, the cool part about this system is that power, ground and all your speaker wires are under the driver seat on the 1500s and by the e-brake under the dash on the 25-3500 trucks. It also bypasses all of your ANC microphones. Meaning you can do all your amp wiring without having to pull the radio out of the dash. The module is under the driver seat and has two plugs, so this is a super easy installation.

This harness comes complete with a PAC Audio Line-out converter installed, so it is ready to go. This converter is tied into the speaker wires and power and ground on the harness. When the converter sees the audio signal from the radio, it will create the remote turn-on signal for your amplifier. So all you have to do is get under the driver seat, unplug their harnesses, plug in our harness, and run your RCAs and remote to your amp. Nice and easy.
