2019-up Dodge Ram Mega Cab Sub Box Full Size Jumbo Box Ported Stage 2

In 2006, Dodge decided that people want to use their trucks for work. So to accommodate, they made the truck bigger by giving it more space behind the seat for tools and storage. Now for a stereo guy like me, the first thing that came to my mind was “Finally a truck with room for a killer stereo.” This design for the 2013-up Dodge Ram Mega Cab is for the truck guys who want some serious sound from the space behind the back seats. This design replaces the rear storage behind the seats and has 6.2cuft of airspace with around 8 1/2″ of mounting depth for 12s.

We thought we had designed the biggest thing we could fit behind the seat, but then we took another stab at it, and found more room! This enclosure requires the removal of the hooks and carpet on the back wall and the removal of the cargo flaps behind the seat. And because of it’s size, there is no recline behind the upright position. Without making the enclosure way overly complicated, this is the biggest thing we can fit back there without going above the window. And because of the size, once loaded with big subs, it’s going to be heavy and difficult to fit in the back of the truck. If you have the ability, I would recommend unbolting the back seat and removing it, or at least leaning it forward against the front seats, to make setting the enclosure in place much simpler.

With 6.2cuft, we have plenty of room to do 3-4 8s or 10s, depending on their model, or 2 to 3 12s. Lot’s of options and possibilities in here.

Stage 2 Enclosure – The Stage 2 is a popular trim option we have on our Mega Cab enclosures. That includes your choice of carpet on the sides, vinyl on the face and RAM Badge in the center, either in chrome or black.

This is a ported subwoofer enclosure. Ported subwoofer enclosures are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is typically double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs and power. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed designs will be what you want.

This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
